Communication from Tourism Fiji – updated February 23, 2016 regarding Tropical Cyclone Winston
Update: 23 February, 2016. As you know, Tropical Cyclone Winston, the strongest storm to ever hit the Southern Hemisphere, unleashed its wrath over Fiji this past weekend. All guests and visitors to the country are accounted for and are unharmed.
Many areas of the country continue to be without power or telecommunications, so an assessment of the damages is ongoing. While many resorts in Nadi, Denarau and the Coral Coast have suffered minor damage, other areas of the country have been hit harder and we ask for your continued thoughts and prayers for the people of Fiji.
