Bula Annie and Piper!!
We had a FABULOUS time!!! Nukubati was everything you both said and much much more! Not only am I sure that it’s the most beautiful place on Earth but the staff there are some of the most delightful and courteous people we have ever met. Upon our arrival they treated us nothing less than like family, and that is truly unheard of.
We enjoyed every part of our stay! The room was so spacious and beautiful! We jokingly said we could have fit everyone from the wedding in there 😉 It was amazing to wake up every morning to a beautiful sunrise and fall asleep to the sound of the waves. I will have to say MY favorite part of the whole trip was my FIJI birthday! 🙂 The staff made me a cake and sang me Happy Birthday. That was so incredibly special and meant the world! We also had our sand bar picnic that day, which was very lovely! My next favorite part was probably his number 1 and that was snorkeling on the Great Sea Reef! Jarrod LOVES fish, aquariums and all of the above (he changed his major to Nursing from Marine Biology) It was extremely beautiful and breath taking. That was both our first time to snorkel so I must say if you’re going to do it for your first time Fiji is definitely the place to be!! Our guides were so helpful and fun to be with. They pointed out a lot of the sea life to us which was awesome. Jarrod brought his Go Pro camera so he got a lot of underwater footage!
Most days we did all of our activities in the morning before lunch and then relaxed the rest of the day. That sun really takes the energy out of you! The food was also amazing! I felt better about abandoning my healthy eating habits and exercise knowing that I was eating all organic vegetables and fruit and fresh caught fish 🙂 Which reminds me! We also went fishing and octopus hunting! I caught the biggest fish, a grouper! But no luck with the octopus that day 🙁 We took tons of pictures! Jarrod is still editing his, but I was able to get a few pictures of the Fiji Orchid on our way home. They only had two bures open during our stay but you could hardly tell that they had suffered a cyclone!
Our last night in Nukubati we had dinner on the beach, which was BEAUTIFUL! We watched the sunset and enjoyed a delicious meal, we couldn’t ask for more! As we left the following day, I hugged Jenny’s neck and told her how much we enjoyed ourselves and thanked her for treating us like family! It was an unforgettable experience that we will treasure forever. We hope to go back one day 🙂 Thank you to both of you for recommending Nukubati and arranging all of our travel! We had a fabulous time and would not have even known about it if it weren’t for the both of you. I don’t have any of our pictures on my work computer but when I get home I will send you some of our favorite pictures as well as some of the Fiji Orchid.
