Once upon a time, across the bluest of oceans, an island was born of lava and sand. To honor the magic of the place, the first visitors named it “Likuliku”, meaning “calm waters”. Here, in the middle of the Mamanuca archipelago, is where Fiji’s newest luxury escape, just for couples, was born. There are only 46 Bures at the resort, all fully air-conditioned. 10 Bures are suspended over the magnificent lagoon (the first of their kind in Fiji) and 36 line the pristine beachfront, some with private plunge pools, all with inescapable views of the ocean.
Accommodations
Likuliku Lagoon is the only resort to offer luxurious Overwater Bungalows, or Bures along their lovely lagoon. They also offer private Beachfront Bures (to include Deluxe Beachfront Bure, Beachfront Bure and Garden Bures). All are private, spacious, and with very upscale decor with Fijian accents. Land based Bures all include a private courtyard with outdoor showers, and all include very large decks for commanding views of the sea.
What’s Included
All meals are included at Likuliku Lagoon Resort. Beverages are available for an additional cost. Most non motorized activities are included in the tariff, though there are additional activities available at an extra charge, such as spa treatments, off island excursions and diving.
Weddings
Likuliku Lagoon offers several wedding packages which can be held in many locations – based upon your preferences. They range from simple to more elaborate in Fijian style, some with a Fijian choir, and Warrior escort of the bride; the staff is also willing to take special requests. The number of weddings is limited in any given week so that each one is very personal and special. For those seeking a very special wedding, be sure to book in advance as space is very limited!
Activities
Most non-motorized activities at Likuliku Lagoon are available at no extra charge. The snorkeling is amazing, especially for those who can jump right in from their Overwater Bure! Diving is also fantastic and there are dozens of dive locations in the area. Diving can be pre booked, and if you are interested in learning to dive it should always be scheduled at the time of booking your stay at Likuliku Lagoon. Private deep-sea-fishing charters and hand-line fishing are available; a guide can be arranged if necessary. There are many other activities available for a nominal fee.
Children
Likuliku Lagoon is an adults only resort. Therefore children under the age of 17 years of age are not permitted at the resort, unless the entire resort is booked by a private party.
