Since its complete renovation in 2011, the Hotel Kia Ora Resort & Spa includes 60 villas and bungalows with exceptional style. Overwater Bungalows
Suspended between the sky and the sea in a setting where all the blues are combined, the Overwater Bungalows invite you to an unforgettable experience. The magic of the place is evident as soon as you cross the threshold. The main room includes a bedroom, sitting room and a desk, offering a spacious clean design. Relax on the sofa and the fish through a glass floor window. On the other side of the room, a king size bed decorated with local “Tapa” cloths faces two large windows opening onto the terrace. The bathroom is modern and spacious. It has a separate shower, two sinks and a sunken bathtub between two glass fixtures revealing the lagoon. Outside the bungalow a solarium decorated with two padded lounge chairs and a shaded dining table allow you to appreciate the beauty of the endless lagoon of Rangiroa. The terrace is also equipped with a staircase leading down to a platform at water level, ideal for swimming and exploring the wonders of the underwater world of the atoll.
Villa with Pool
Located in the heart of coconut grove, the Pool Villas have all the necessary equipment to give you privacy, luxury and refinement. Each Villa expresses a contemporary style, where the room, sitting room and bathroom fit into the same space with generous volumes. The decor and furnishings, enhanced with touches of local crafts, give the whole a gentle and welcoming atmosphere.
The perfect place to relax, the outdoor court has a private swimming pool, a wooden terrace extending to a “fare pote’e,” scattered in a garden with an open-air bathtub. For your convenience, the terrace is equipped with padded lounge chairs and a dining table where you can enjoy a dinner alone together in the light of candles and stars.

Scuba Diving
The atoll of Rangiroa is world renowned for its spectacular diving sites, including the two best known, and the passes Tiputa Avatoru, are located on either side of Kia Ora. Several formulas diving framed and suitable for all levels will be offered at the dive center of the hotel: Introductory dives, taking place inside the lagoon and inviting beginners to explore coral gardens and colorful inhabitants; drift dives, open to a more experienced divers, who are to be put in the water near a pass, ocean side and get carried away by the incoming currents to fly over the submarine canyons and meet hundreds of species that inhabit the passes; dives in the fall, along the outer reef of the atoll, the discovery of gray reef sharks, Napoleon fish, tuna, manta rays, turtles, groupers and other reef fish; thematic dives, as “the shark cave”, populated by hundreds of sharks, “the plateau Hammer”, or the dolphin encounter.
Excursions and Fishing

Poekura Spa
Nestled in the heart of coconut grove of the hotel, Poekura Spa, which literally means “Pearl of Light”, is an oasis of tranquility and relaxation which provides a wide range of treatments and beauty rituals. On the menu: oriental massage, Balinese hot stones, reflexology, after sun care, exfoliating ritual or Japanese beauty … not forgetting the famous traditional Polynesian massage, the taurumi. For each experience of wellbeing, our therapists use the famous brand Sothys and oils of the exclusive range of the Poekura Spa, made with Polynesian ingredients (Monoi, Tamanu, vanilla, coconut, mango, passion fruit…). While most massages are performed in the privacy of one of the bungalows of the spa, the treatment menu also offers a ¨Honeymoon for two” option directly in your room. Some treatments are performed in the Vaimiti, a “fare pote’e” built in the shelter of a coral wall equipped with two Polynesian rain showers.
