Turtle Island

Turtle Island is a 500-acre private island in the Yasawa Islands, on the shore of the Blue Lagoon. Most guests arrive by seaplane from Nadi, a flight of about 30 minutes.

The island hosts just 14 couples at a time in 14 beachfront villas, and for most of the year it is for adults only. It is one of the most inclusive resorts in Fiji, with meals, drinks and almost every activity covered by the rate. Each couple is looked after by a Bure Mama, a personal host who arranges your picnics and private dinners. With 12 private beaches shared among so few guests, it is a natural choice for a honeymoon.

The 14 villas, known locally as bures, are spread along the Blue Lagoon. They come in three categories. For a honeymoon, we recommend:

•  Grand Beachfront Villa – On the beach with an ocean view, a king-size bed, a walk-in double shower, an outdoor shower, a lounge and bar, and a veranda with a queen-size daybed.

•  Water’s Edge Villa – Slightly smaller than the Grand Beachfront Villa and only steps from the Blue Lagoon, with an outdoor shower.

•  Vonu Point – The most private villa on the island, set on its own point with sweeping views over the lagoon and the neighboring Yasawa islands, and with an indoor spa.

There are no fixed restaurants on Turtle Island. Instead, meals move around the island, and all of them are included. The kitchen uses fruit and vegetables from the island’s own garden and seafood caught daily by fishermen from nearby villages.

Some evenings, guests come together for a lively dinner party. On others, your Bure Mama can arrange something private:

•  Dine-Out – A private dinner for two in a remote spot, such as a beach, the mountaintop or a floating pontoon lit by lanterns.

•  Beach Picnic – Lunch on one of the island’s private beaches, reserved for the two of you.

•  Sunrise Breakfast – Breakfast on a private beach to start the day.

A traditional lovo feast is also part of the stay.

Almost everything on the island is included. On the water there is scuba diving, guided snorkeling, fishing, kayaking, stand-up paddleboarding and windsurfing, plus a sunset cruise on the Blue Lagoon. On land, guests go horseback riding, mountain biking or hiking on about 13 kilometers of roads and trails, or try archery.

Fijian culture is part of daily life here, with kava ceremonies, meke performances, cooking classes and village visits.

Spa

Fijian-inspired massages are given at the Vonu Spa. Two half-hour massages are included in each stay.

Weddings

Turtle Island hosts both intimate private weddings and grand beach weddings, as well as vow renewals. Ceremonies can be held at sunset on the shore of the Blue Lagoon, at sunrise on Long Beach or in the late afternoon on Mountain Top.

At a grand wedding, the bride arrives by billi billi, a traditional raft, escorted by Fijian warriors, and the celebration continues with kava, a lovo feast and a wedding cake.

Children

Turtle Island is normally for adult couples only. Families are welcome during Family Time, held twice a year, when each villa can take up to five children. Children aged 5 and under are given a nanny, and older children have their own Bula Buddy. Upcoming Family Time dates are December 16, 2026 to January 10, 2027; June 19 to July 18, 2027; and December 18, 2027 to January 9, 2028.

Turtle Island’s rate is all-inclusive, with a minimum stay of five nights. It includes:

•  Meals – Breakfast, lunch, dinner and snacks, and all private dining experiences.

•  Drinks – All beverages, including wines, spirits, champagne, cocktails and beer, plus a villa minibar restocked daily.

•  Activities – Scuba diving, fishing, guided snorkeling, water sports, horseback riding, mountain biking, archery and guided tours.

•  Spa – Two half-hour massages at the Vonu Spa.

•  Service – Your own Bure Mama, daily laundry and cultural experiences and entertainment.

•  Wi-Fi – Available in the gift shop and business center.

Airfares and transfers to the island, by seaplane or boat, are not included. We can arrange these for you.
