The Fiji Orchid was once the treasured property of Raymond Burr, the Hollywood star of Perry Mason and Ironside. The two existing houses have been transformed into a gourmet restaurant and six inspirational bures with a very modern flavor are dotted around the location of Burr’s orchid garden.
Each air-conditioned bure is 860 square feet, has a king-size bed, sitting area, en-suite stone and timber trim bathroom with a shower, and a large verandah and terrace. The special design includes a white textile membrane roof, cut to the shape of a bure – the traditional Fijian-style house. In the main house, there are two day rooms with ensuites for short stays.
Rates include round trip airport transportation.
Because we usually recommend the Fiji Orchid for a shorter stay either on arrival or departure from Fiji, weddings are not performed on the property with regularity, however the resort may be willing to entertain a ceremony should it be desired. Please inquire if this might be of interest to you.
There are many other activities available for a nominal fee. For the resort’s “short break” packages they offer spa treatments as well as off resort excursions which include lunch.
Children are welcome at the Fiji Orchid.
