Matamanoa Island is a small, intimate and secluded Fiji Resort set in the beautiful Mamanuca Islands approximately 30 kilometers West of Nadi International Airport.
The Island boasts a volcanic cone jutting out of the turquoise/aqua blue waters of this unspoilt area of the Fiji Islands. Clad with dense bush and palm trees, the brilliance of the vegetation contrasts magnificently with the white curved sandy beach and pristine coral reefs.
Created for those who want to forget the pressures of their business or busy lifestyle or for those who dream of peace and tranquility. In an effort to achieve this special atmosphere, Matamanoa Island Resort has adopted a year round policy of not permitting children under the age of 16 years.

Twenty Air-conditioned Beachfront Bures & Thirteen Air-conditioned Garden View Hotel Rooms
Twenty spacious 54 sq meter air-conditioned bures with king size bed and sofa bed, granite top bar with refrigerator, tea/coffee making facilities, coffee plunger, clock/radio, coffee table, chair, personal safe plus patio with hammock and outdoor table and two chairs.
The Bures are of traditional Fijian design with high ceilings lined with hand painted tapa, they have been designed to catch the breeze and feature louvered windows throughout, overhead fans and sliding glass doors opening on to the patio which overlooks the ocean.
En-suite bathroom with twin vanities, granite bench, state of the art fittings, Italian tiles, hair drier, bathrobes & amenities.

Bures will accommodate maximum 4 adults, the extra bed will be a roll away.
Thirteen Garden View, air-conditioned Hotel Rooms, ground level all in a row, set amongst tropical gardens. One room, queen size bed, bar unit with refrigerator & sink, tea/coffee making facilities, coffee plunger, clock/radio, table and two chairs, small patio with table and two chairs. En-suite bathroom, single vanity and marbleized bench, European fittings and Italian tiles – hair dryer, bathrobe & amenities.

Hotel Rooms will accommodate a couple only, not suitable for twin share as only one queen size bed

Meal Plan
Vegetarians/Vegans, whilst we make all efforts to provide vegetarian meals, please note that the choice is very limited as we are located 30 kilometers off shore from Nadi Airport. Please review our online menus to decide whether or not we can cater to your special dietary needs, please note that we can only provide the meals and ingredients that are listed on our menus on this website.
Dinner
Matamanoa’s Executive Chef takes pride in presenting his international menus plus selections of traditional Fijian fare – choose from the Table d’hôte or A la Carté menus, both menus are changed nightly. BBQ seafood buffet on Saturday nights.
Our string band serenades each table nightly during dinner, singing your choice of song, or Fijian songs. After dinner, lots of fun with something different every night, Mr. Matamanoa contest, crab racing, broom dancing, kava ceremony are just some of the few.

A la Carté plus daily blackboard special of Table d’hôte & Pasta of the day.

From the Buffet – Tropical fruit juice, selection of cereals, assortment of tropical fresh and canned fruit, home baked muffins, bread buns, pastries, white or whole meal toast & preserves.
Cooked to Order – Eggs, select from poached, scrambled, fried or boiled and served with your choice of bacon, ham, sausages, fried tomato, hash browns – omelet of your choice, ham, tomato, cheese or onion – choose any combination.

Weddings

Marry on the beach at sunset under an arch which is hand woven in leaf, traditional Tapa mats at your feet, or anywhere on the island. Fijian warriors (2) and bridesmaid in traditional Fijian costume escort the bride. Beautiful tropical orchid bouquet & matching buttonhole, staff choir, video, photographer, champagne dinner for two – our wedding coordinator arranges everything for you, all you have to do is be there.

Attend church service at our local village Tavua and hear the choir of the people.
